Free open workshop – Sunday 1st September

We are kicking off the autumn term with a FREE open workshop.

Bring your friends along for a fun and FREE afternoon of singing. All singers welcome – those who may just fancy having a sing for the afternoon, or those who may like to join the choir. We’d love to recruit some new singers (particularly tenors and basses) but equally, we’d love to have a good sing with any of your friends that you’d like to bring along!

The FREE workshop will include singing warm ups, exercises and a good sing-through of Faure’s requiem. We will be learning Faure’s requiem throughout the term for our concert on October 31st.

There will be copies of the music available to borrow or buy on the day so no need to bring anything along. Being able to read music is advantageous but not essential!

Listen to your parts before the workshop:

Or buy a recording from Amazon:

The workshop will be in our usual rehearsal venue – the Student Union of the Institute of Education 2pm – 5pm. It is very easy to get to from many Tube stations (Russell Square, Goodge Street, Warren Street).

After the workshop, we will head over to our usual post-rehearsal drinking venue for a sociable pint or two to get to know our new singers – The Marlborough Arms on Torrington Place.

Looking forward to singing with you all again after our summer break!
